Gibson’s is known for their steaks, martinis and lively atmosphere. It should come as no surprise that that same recipe will cook up some success at the new venture: Gibson’s Italia. Gibson’s Italia looks to add some Italian flare to the steaks you already know and love. Be on the lookout for some pastas, truffle-laced dishes, and arancinis – to an already extensive menu.

You can find Gibson’s Italia right on the Chicago River at 233 North Canal St., alongside the River Point Complex. Breathtaking views of the city from the unique angle give diners a fresh take on the beauty of Chicago. Fittingly, the fresh take on the Gibson’s successful concept is worth checking out.

I had the pleasure of being invited to check out the space before the general public. I enjoyed a few bites, sipped on Manhattans and took in the views. This is one opening I am looking forward to, and so should you.

Though there’s no official date for first service, there are rumblings that Gibson’s Italia plans to begin seating as soon as next week. In the mean time, check out the menu below.
